I blew off the reseller teaching today, and opted to work on PRMan 3.9.2 builds (fixing an odd eye clipping issue and a shader compiler bug). When the resellers were done for the day, went out with them to Trader Vic’s out on the marina; apparently, the flagship restaurant is here in Emeryville. There used to be one in Vancouver so I knew about the chain, though I had never eaten at one.

For some reason I was in a puritanical mood, so I watched bemused as everyone ordered fancy drinks and engaged in oh-so-witty banter.

Discovered that Trader Vic’s idea of satay was mixed grill and peanut sauce. Wasn’t impressed.
