Today is the last day of Pixar in Richmond. I didn’t have much time for nostalgia, being swamped with more work than usual (including some fur bugs – got bitten by byte swapping errors, again!), then had to spend time labeling and packing everything. By around 4:30 the place was emptying out except for people making a lot of noise over the PA system, so I finally gave up trying to get the vacation autoresponder working, skipped the drinking over at Hotel Mac, and took the hour long No. 73 bus ride hopefully for the last time in my life. And as usual, it was more than half an hour late.

No work for the next week makes Julian a happy boy.

One of the many things I miss about Canada is This Hour Has 22 minutes – a brilliant half hour news parody/satire which airs weekly on CBC. I was reminded of this by links to the petition.

On another random thought: I really want one of these for Christmas. There were several at work a while ago, and they’re some of the most gorgeous geektoys I’ve seen. Unfortunately, Rosalind has clamped down on the intrasibling Christmas spending this year, last year being rather a rather unrestrained materialistic frenzy – I still have hopes for Mom though.
