Sunday, May 14

Was on a neatfreak fit – I wanted to go out but literally 5 minutes after I stepped outside it began raining, so I was stuck indoors – so I decided to vacuum the bedroom. Was even diligently getting all the nooks and crannies, when I decided to put the cleaner down on a pair of shorts (I was using some attached tool). Bad mistake. High pitched whine, followed by black smoke and a horrid stench. I guess I burnt out the drive belt! Apartment reeked of burnt rubber for the afternoon, and I was *still* stuck indoors breathing whatever toxic shit is produced downwind of tire fires.

Finally the heavens cleared, and I managed to nip over to Amsterdam’s art before they closed – got my hands on a small piece of Sculpey III and a big block of flesh colored Van Aiken’s plasticine, plus some Farber clay modeling tools. It looks like just the right stuff for claymation.
